Known as ‘Marto’ to friends and colleagues, Martin is an award-winning filmmaker
who specialized in cinematography, though he has worked in various filmmaking
capacities over the span of his over 30-years career. Marto’s current screen credits are
in cinematography, directing, editing, producing, writing, as well as creating TV
show formats.
Among his latest creations is the virtual TV show called Gr8leadership Live
streamed live on YouTube and Facebook in 2020.
Currently, one of the founding directors of Dreamcatcher Productions Ltd., Marto is
the current Chairman of the Kenya Film & Television Professionals Association
(KFTPA), and a member of several film-related committees, KEPSA. Martin also sits
on the board of Next Media, a Media company in Uganda that owns several
media-related companies and a popular TV station known as NBS.
Has always been a passionate foodie, musician, golfer, a simulator pilot and most
recently formalized to be one of the few KCAA recognized drone pilots in Kenya.
Martin is well-traveled and fluent in English, Italian, Bulgarian and Swahili.
